The Brewers were unable to get any offense in the 6th and 7th and the game went into the bottom of the 7th tied at 3. With one out, Phil Muller hit a single to left but Jason Krottner threw Marcheterre out at home trying to score the winning run. Then after loading the bases, Beaulieu threw an 0-2 pitch in the dirt that Hank Beelen couldn't get a glove on and Watters trotted in with the winning run.
