Red Sox at Brewers
Brewer

boxscore

The Brewers looked to stay on their roll after winning their annual tournament the day before. They looked like they would continue their winning ways in the first inning as they scored 7 runs on 9 hits in the inning to lead the game after one inning 7-0. Red Sox starter, Eric Brisebois, after the very rough first inning, cruised through the rest of the game allowing only 5 more hits and no more runs.

In the 3rd inning, the Red Sox began to chip away at the Brewer lead off of Brewers starter Mike Gingerich. They put 2 runs across after Trevor Gloyn doubled and Michel Brisebois singled him in and then after an Alex Foisy double, an RBI groundout by Roch Seguin made the score 7-2.

In the 5th, Eric Brisebois singled in a third run.  In the 6th, the Red Sox cut the lead to 7-5 scoring 2 ugly runs. Then in the 7th inning a double by Jamie Gloyn off of Jon Zywicki tied the game at 7-7. Zywicki then promptly picked off Gloyn from second base to preserve the 7-7 tie. The Brewers were able to get a runner to second base in the bottom of the 7th, but couldn`t cash it in.

Player of the Game : Jon Zywicki...3/3, double, RBI, run, walk
