boxscore

This game was billed as the battle for first since the winner of the game would pretty much wrap up first place in the Jordan Division. Unfortunately for the Panthers the game turned into a romp as the Brewers won easily 12-0 against their decades long rivals.

Brewers starter Matt Beelen brought his "A" game as he pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up only 3 hits and never allowing more than 2 batters to reach base in an inning and didn`t allow any runner to get to third base.

Meanwhile, Panther starter Mark Sarson struggled after not allowing a run in the first, the Brewers struck in the 2nd as Keith Blouin hit a 2-out, 2 RBI double. Then in the 3rd, the Brewers again struck with 2 outs as Joe Beelen hit a 3-run homer just barely over the fence in left field to make the score 5-0.

After stranding the bases loaded in the 4th, the Brewers loaded the bases again in the 5th with nobody out. After Jon Zywicki walked to make it 6-0, Keith Bray came in to relieve Sarson only to allow 4 more runs in the inning and basically sealing the fate of this game as the Brewers went on to win 12-0.

Player of the Game : Matt Beelen...7 IP, 3 hits, 0 walks, 6 K`s, 0 runs.
