boxscore

On a very cold May night at McCarthy, once again the Brewers found themselves in a pitching duel. Brewers pitcher Ryan Wilson ran into trouble in the first inning but was able to strand the bases loaded after giving up just 1 run on an RBI single by Jeff Gordon. Wilson then settled down though, not allowing another run the rest of the game and giving up only 4 hits through 6 innings.

Red Sox starter, Frank Leduc, cruised through the first 3 innings without the Brewers generating much offense. In the fourth inning the Brewers finally struck for 3 runs after Sean Lecuyer and Joe Beelen led the inning off with singles, Mike Gingerich got the first run in with an RBI single and then with the help of an error and a wild pitch, 2 more runs were added to give the Brewers a 3-1 lead after 4 complete.

The Brewers then added 3 more in the next inning highlited by a 2 run triple by Lecuyer and then an RBI single by Scott Tunis.  Matt Miller then pitched a scoreless 7th for the Brewers to finish a 6-1 win for the Brewers.

Player of the Game : Sean Lecuyer, 2/4, triple, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored.
