The Brewers came into this game at Sanscartier on an 8 game winning streak and started things off quickly jumping out to a 5-0 lead after the top of the first courtesy of singles from Scott Tunis, George Magnus, Joe Beelen, Matt Beelen, Tony Carbonetti and Chris Ivany as 10 batters came to the plate in the inning. Marc Sports though did not give up as they came out swinging as well against Brewers starter Adam Oattes. Junior Leduc led off with a single, stole second and then D'Aoust doubled off the fence in center. Then Steve Spooner came up and promptly made the score 5-3 with a 3 run homer to left field. From there, Marc Sports starter Beauchamp and Oattes settled down with Oattes easily getting through the next 2 innings. Beauchamp gave up one run in the 2nd on an RBI double by Matt Beelen and then a solo home run in the 5th by Jon Zywicki but nothing else. Beauchamp did his best to help his own cause by hitting a lead off home run in the 4th and then in the 5th Leduc singled, stole second, stole third and then Spooner knocked him in with an RBI ground out. Going into the 6th the score stood at 7-5 for the Brewers. The wheels then fell off for Marc Sports in the 6th. Matt Battig led off with a single, then stole second, Tunis then doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Oattes then helped his own cause by smashing a hard grounder through the drawn in infield to score 2 runs. Then Matt Beelen put the game away with a 2 RBI double followed by a Mike Gingerich RBI single. Rookie Craig Chaput finished the scoring with a solo home run in the 7th as the Brewers came away with a 13-5 victory.
