This was the first regular season game between these teams, and as expected a very good game ensued.  The Brewers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first off Stingrays starter Tyler Robinson with an RBI double by Adam Oattes and then an RBI groundout by Joe Beelen.  Brewers starter Geoff Magnus cruised through the first 3 innings by getting the first 9 batters out with 4 strike outs.  Meanwhile, Robinson came out of the game after 2 innings and Dan Osterer took over pitching duties for the Stingrays.  Osterer would only give up 1 hit and 1 walk in the 3rd to 5th innings to keep his team in the game.  The wheels fell off for Magnus in the 4th inning with the score still 2-0.  After walking the lead off hitter, Jon Dale hit a single and then Aaron Difrusio hit a single to left field to score 1 run, then Matt McGovern hit a single to tie the game still with nobody out.  Then with 1 out, Steve Derouin hit a go-ahead double to the right centre gap to score 2 runs and give the Stingrays a 4-2 lead.  Difrusio hit an RBI double in the 5th inning to get some much needed insurance and a 5-2 lead after 5 innings.  In the 6th, the Brewers finally figured out Osterer as Matt Beelen hit a double and then Matt Battig hit an infield single to load the bases with nobody out.  Osterer was then able to enduce a double play for 1 run and then Mike Gingerich singled in a run to make the score 5-4.  McGovern then came in for the save in the 7th and despite a lead off single from Oattes, was able to clinch the victory for the Stingrays.

Player of the Game : Aaron Difrusio - 2/3 with a double, 2 RBI.
