PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG In 2011, the BLACK SOX were a team that believed in democracy and came together to decide who personified these characteristics. One day, after consuming many alcoholic beverages before noon while blasting loud classic rock on an 8-track and singing along to the lyrics of “Summer of 69,” the BLACK SOX selected Philippe Martin as their 2011 MVP. Phil finished the season in the top 10 of virtually every statistical category in the tier. He led his team in IP (46), K’s (32), and recorded the 3rd lowest ERA in the tier (1.83). Phil also whacked 25 hits for 2nd in the tier, batted .439, scored 16 runs, and stole 11 bases. When he wasn’t pitching, Phil played every position (except catcher), and did not disappoint.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG BC  is our nomination for all categories this season. Where some struggled with the adjustment to wood, Brian maintained consistent production all season. He lead our team in all major areas. As for pitching,  Brian was an absolute workhorse on the mound this season leading the team in most areas but the definite leader in appearances (capped off by back to back appearances in the playoffs.) Weather it was a mop up situation or his turn to start, he always gave the Bombers a chance to win.  With an active fastball and dirty curve he left batters pondering all season. Not listed in his stats are the 6 pick-offs Brian made this year. What the stats don't say is the type of guy Brian is. He is one hell of a great teammate and always the guy with a cooler full of pints in the car for after the game and for all of the above reasons Brian is most defiantly the Bytown Bombers MVP.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG CK lead the team in many of the offensive and defensive statistics.  He helped the Coyotes return to the playoffs and improve our overall defence, contributing at various IF positions.  As our cleanup hitter and Ace on the mound CK deserves the MVP nod from the Coyotes.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG No player was more deserving of the 2011 Dukes’ MVP award than Steve Rumleskie. Without a doubt the Ace of the Dukes pitching staff - leading the team in ERA, WHIP, wins, saves, and innings pitched, Steve also played flawless defence when not on the hill, and had a great season at the plate. Rumleskie batted .326 on the season, driving in 10 runs and scoring 9 times. The consummate teammate - Steve lead by example, and motivated teammates on way to a 15-4-1 Dukes season.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG T-Rev as we know him is the nicest guy you will ever meet off the diamond but once he steps foot on the field beware.  He led the team in hits, at bats, batting average, morale, etc…the guy is unstoppable.  Holding the leadoff spot in the order the entire season he transitioned to wood with ease and although he led in hits, he never broke one bat.  His glove in the outfield was where flyballs went to die, no matter where they were hit.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG El Presidente..El Perfecto! No, I'm not referring to the legendary former Expos great Denis Martinez, I'm talkin' 'bout the Rockets nominee for MVP, Nick Lenardon. After capturing back-to-back Tier MVPs and posting ridiculous numbers in the process, what could the man with the big stick do to out-do himself? How 'bout throw the 1st perfect game in NCBL history (on record)?!  Nick did just that. Nick's rocket arm and sweet stroke led the Rockets to first place in the Tier and the best season in franchise history (16-3-1). His 5-1 win/loss (and 1 save!) was a big contributing factor to the Rockets 1st place season. In addition he rocked the box with his big stick posting a .429 BA, 2 big bombs and 18 RBIs, leading the team offensively. Hit, pitch, wingman, he is still the total package! When looking at who should carry the prestigous honour of Tier 4 MVP, look no further than Nick and his big package...

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Darren Trenholm was hands down the MVP of the Vampires in 2011 and contributed to his teams play as much or more then any individual in tier 4. Led the Vampires in 7 offense and pitching categories including batting average (.383), Innings pitched (53 1/3) ERA (4.20) and WHIP (2.05). Beyond the numbers Darren was a gamer all season long and was a tough out for opposing squads. The one known as "Troutface" had an outstanding 2011 season for the Vampires.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG In 2011, the BLACK SOX boasted tremendous depth in their lineup every game. Every player on the team could be deserving of this award, but the BLACK SOX voted for one player. He batted #2 on the SOX, but was #1 in your hearts. He was a table setter and he did just that. Other than baseball, Phil also enjoys golf, racing go-karts, and volunteering in the community.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG On a team that lead the tier in offence Larry Pawelek was the best hitter of the 2011 Dukes. Pawalek lead the team with an impressive 24 hits in 19 games played, in 59 at-bats for a .407 season average. Batting in the heart of the order Pawalek was the catalyst all season long with an OBS of .485, an OPS of .943, and he accounted for 34 Dukees runs on the season- driving in 19 and scoring 15 times.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG As said in his MVP write up, he led the team in hits but never broke a bat.  Unstoppable at the plate, if he couldn’t hit the ball then nobody would have.  Trevor was the dream leadoff hitter and maintained the position the entire year with ease and confidence. His consistency at the plate raised hope and morale in the rest of the team to keep the flow going.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG When you think D.P., you automatically think double play or double pen...but the Rockets think Derek Price! Winning his first team award for the hitter of the year, D.P. was simply outstanding at the dish. Flirting with chicks in the stands and a .400 average all year, he amassed some pretty impressive numbers.  He ranked amongst the Rockets leaders in every offensive category including leading the team in hits with 19 and was second on the team with a .396 BA. What doesn't show here is the clutch hits he delivered when the team needed him most. All while having the pressure of being behind the plate and calling great games for a handsome pitching staff. Everybody loves a good D.P.! That's what she said!

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG The man who never saw a pitch he didn't like. Big Stephen models his game after Vladdy Guerrero as is evident with his .358 batting average, a team leading 19 hits on the year and ZERO walks! Stephen made many strides at the plate in 2011 and solidified the middle of the order for the Vampires all season with his team leading slugging numbers.

IP SO W-L-S ERA WHIP “D” was one of three pitchers in the lineup that was always a force to be rechoned with and always made the choice to go with another pitcher hard.  He stepped up with no complaints to secure the ace position when injury forced the other two out.  A workhorse on the mound, he often had to pitch every second game.  His arm became stronger the latter half of the game and the latter half of the season.

IP SO W-L-S ERA WHIP Guess who's back. Back again. The Tier 4 Legend is back. Tell a friend! Coach Bay is BACK baby! After capturing the team pitching award for 8 straight seasons, he was dethroned by Nick and his package for the last two. Wood Bats? Please. Coach Bay tickled wood bats throughout the Tier! Eating innings like he downs a 6 piece of McNuggets and a double cheesburger for his pre-game meals, he is amongst the league leaders in every pitching category.  He posted 8 wins and only 1 loss (a 1-0 pitchers duel against the Dukes). His ERA (1.35) and WHIP (1.15) are numbers that would make Kenny Powers proud. You know him. You love him. You may even vote for him. If not, then as the legendary Kenny Powers once said "You're F'ing OUT!". Ladies and Gentleman. Michael K. Bayley. Tier 4 Legend. And wood bat tickler.

Darren dominated streches of the season and always provided the team with an opportunity to win. On a team with only three victories, Darren had an ERA and WHIP in the top bracket of tier 4 pitchers.
