PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG The SweatSox roster had very little turnover since 2012, so when we went from a non-playoff team to a Championship finalist in one year, it’s not too hard to figure out why.  In Eric’s 1st season with the SweatSox he was voted by our team as top pitcher AND top batter (see write-ups below), even leading the tier in multiple categories on both sides of the ball (SB, IP, K, W).

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG As he does every year, Martin’s pitching dominated the opposing teams this year giving the Gryphons a chance to win every single start.  Not only was he our best pitcher, but he also provided solid production out of the 3 and 5 slot in the lineup.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG The Athletics were abysmal at the plate this season, but Charlie finished the season as one of four A's players who hit over .300 with 40+ ABs. Thanks to 15 walks to got with his 15 hits in 53 AB, Crabb's .476 OBP was the third highest amongst regulars on the team.It was on the mound where Charlie really shined however, as he struck out 52 batters in 35 innings for a 1.00 ERA and a WHIP of 0.63. The only blemish on his 4-1 record was a 3-2 loss to the Cardinals in which the A's only had eight players - the one hit he gave up in that game was a walk-off 2-run HR. It wasn't the only time that Crabb pitched when the A's only had 8 players - he single handedly pitched the A's to victory over the Gryphons.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG From preseason to playoffs Eric has been our most consistent hitter, leading the team with 23 hits and a .343 AVG.  Batting at the top of our order, opposing pitchers always had to pay extra attention when Eric got on base – he led the team/tier in SB’s with 22, twice as much as the next highest.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Geoff picked up the offense this year with a steady, reliable production, but was most impressive in clutch situations. And he provides that bat in front of the best 3rd base play in the tier, hands down.  He’s a human highlight reel.

IP SO W-L-S ERA WHIP We’ve never had a pitcher with a rubber arm before, but when Eric pitched in 58 innings over 17 games, we knew we had one.  While his tier best 68 strikeouts and 7 wins were impressive, Eric was even more effective out of the bullpen.  In 20 relief innings, Eric had a 0.20ERA and 0.90WHIP, while picking up a franchise best 3 saves.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG If anyone thinks playing 120 straight games would drain a man’s love of the game, they don’t know Cory.  Whether the SweatSox are up 10 or down 10, or whether he’s batting .115 over the 1st half or .385 over the 2nd half, his attitude towards the game, umpires, teammates, and opposing players never changes.  And if you’re wondering why he only pitched 8 innings this year; he says it’s because the team was winning so there was no reason to.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Tambo found a way to stay positive and keep the team moral up even during our dismal start to the season. He's a very versatile player who can play any position on the infield and he's a valuable pitcher for us too.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Steven is one of those players that shows up every game giving his all. He is arguably the best shortstop in the tier and a tough out at the plate. With a .333 BA and .500 OBA, he often led the rallies. He is always pleasant on the bench, at the plate and on the field. Even the opposing teams couldn’t hate him.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Bob “the ageless wonder” McCurdy did was he does best.  Gave the Gryphons a solid start every time he took the bump.  When Bob was not pitching he was at the games to do the scoring and cheering on teammates.  You could not ask for a better team guy, for us or for the Sweat Sox, providing them with a market comparable for Groves> Still waiting for that OMM/OMG matchup.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG In his first year playing men's league baseball Kevin was not intimidated one bit.  He was rock behind the plate for the Gryphons and had a very good year at the dish with signs of good pop in his bat.  A very bright future for Kevin in the NCBL.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Although he entered the season as a rookie, Dills quickly developed into one of the team's best leaders. With some quick hands and a reliable arm, this Alex Anthopolous Doppelganger played some exceptional infield defence. Although he had a .257 batting average, Dills helped the offence by posting the team's fifth-highest on-base percentage (.400) for guys with 40+ ABs.
