For a guy in his mid 40's, who
still acts like he's 20, the youthful Keating was on display this season. He
led the team in most offensive categories, and led the league in on base
percentage and walks, and was 4th in SB's and 7th in OPS. He also hit .396.
As for pitching, he continued to be an innings eater, and logged 2 big wins
and a tie down the stretch to push us into the playoffs. |

Jérémie has been our most
valuable player this season. He catched more than half of the games and did a
really good job behind the plate. He batted really well also and we believe
he deserves the title for this season. He was also more than good off the field
with the team. |

Ryan was a monster all year in
the lead off position. You will see his name on almost all of the Tier 2
leaderboards. Ryan got on base and scored a ton of runs. Not to mention, hes
a stud out in the field, our best overall defender and player. |

Last year, when the SweatSox
finished last place in Tier 2 and then lost Trepanier to free agency, we
seriously considered a drop to Tier 3. The only reason we hung around was
because we still had Eric White, who’s arm, bat, and legs can keep us in just
about every game; and they did. Representing the SweatSox as our top pitcher
and top hitter (see write-ups below), Eric led the tier in multiple batting
and pitching categories, and was single handedly responsible for the SweatSox
worst-to-first turnaround. |

Clarke lead Winchester by
example during his first year with the club. Coming from Nova Scotia he
quickly went from an unknown to our team's biggest all around contributor.
Ryan pitched, played shortstop and batted cleanup - we missed this guy when
he went back home for two weeks. He had 23 hits. |

Coming off a mediocre 2014
season (by his standards) where he hit just .292, Eric White improved that
average by more than some of us hit this season, finishing .455 and in the
top 4 of the league. Eric led the tier in hits, stolen bases, and runs, which
makes sense since as our leadoff hitter he’d usually get on base, always
steal second, sometimes steal third, and then wait for one of us to knock him
in; but if we took too long he wasn’t afraid to steal home too (ask Wade
Wilson). Counting just his runs and RBI’s, Eric was directly responsible for
25% of the total SweatSox runs this year. Don’t hold it against him that he
didn’t have any HR’s, he could’ve if he wanted, but that just would’ve taken
away from his SB opportunities! |

Willing and able to pitch in any
situation at any time, Eric White pitched in 16 of 22 (regular season) and 8
of 10 (playoff) games he attended this year. Eric finished with the Tier lead
(by a good margin) in innings pitched, wins, strikeouts, and saves; and near
the top of the leaderboards in the other categories. Eric was the
unquestioned SweatSox ace, pitching 50 more innings than the next most, while
leading the SweatSox in every single pitching stat. |

Ross Hughes has always been more
of a grow’er than a show’er, but this year was different. In the two seasons
prior to this one, Ross batted just over .100. This year though, he was 3rd
on the team in average (.303) and was a big part of our middle infield
defense. Ross has always been the ultimate team player, constantly leading
the team in words of encouragement, and sacrifice bunts. Not that we needed
any more evidence of his character, but when Ross broke his arm in two places
during Round 1 of the playoffs, not only did he finish the game in
excruciating pain, he still showed up to our games to cheer the team on and
coach first base. In fact, Ross took full responsibility for our championship
series loss, blaming himself for leaving us shorthanded. We agree. |

If you've ever had the luxury of
playing with Waresy, you'll know that he's probably the best teammate that
you could ever ask for. The genuine enthusiasm and effort level that he
exerts when he steps on the ball field is second to none. He is always willing
to do whatever the team needs. |

This Cornwall native fit right
in with the Braves this year. The "Silent Assasin" or "Sweet
Pea" passed all of the team's rookie inittiations with flying colours,
and may be in the market for a new liver in the off season. Although he hit
only .204, he contibuted with some timely hits and consistent fielding to
help get the Braves back into the playoffs. |

It was the first year Nic played
with us. He was really good defensivly, and was a good « coach » on the bench
and on the field. Was always good with everyone and gave his 100% everytime. |

Not only is Nodders one of the
most passionate players you'll ever face, he is also one of the smartest. A
very bright future for Ethan in the NCBL. |
