PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Usually our ace, Phil took one for the team this year after our catcher went down with an arm injury, performing great job behind the plate. Finishing with a .355 average and only 3 K's in 76 PA's. When he did pitch, he was his usual self with a 1.20 ERA in 23 innings

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Adam filled two vital positions for us. Adam was one of our top starting pitchers. Adam gave us a chance to win every time out, compiling an ERA under 3 and a WHIP under one. His record, 3-1 indicated how effective he was. His one was loss was the result of an error. Adam, also played a near flawless shortstop. He has range and despite getting to many tough ground balls he committed very few errors. At the plate, Adam was a reliable hitter filling many different roles in the lineup. He can drive in runs and set the table for others.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG The Dukes Most Valuable Player and our nominee for tier MVP is Stephane Leclair. Steph led our team in almost every offensive category including hits, extra-base hits, RBI, walks and runs scored. Leclair also played excellent defence all season long with his great outfield range, reliable glove and strong throwing arm.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Though it was a tough decision on who to name our MVP, the nod goes to Tyas Montgomery. His contributions both on the mound and at the plate were the deciding factor. He lead the team with 18 RBIs, finishing 3rd in hits with 19 and was the ace our team needed when our other big starters went down with injury. And when he wasn't pitching, he was helping us with strong D wherever he lined up - 1B, 3B, OF, and even C when we needed it!

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG For some unknown reason, we barely let him hit and play defence last year. We were stupid to do that. From day one of this season, he was dominant as both pitcher and hitter. This year he took down the Misfits trifecta of best batter, best pitcher and MVP. As a pitcher, he led the league in Wins and WHIP and was top 5 in Ks and ERA. As a batter he won the batting, slugging and OPS crowns. He has been the biggest single piece that turned us from a team fighting to make the playoffs to one that was fighting for the championship. In addition, he picked up 3 playoff wins including a 10 inning CG W and an 8 inning no decision. His defence was not overshadowed by his pitching and hitting, somehow. He was stellar at 3B and SS this year. Lots of great ball players in the tier but, in 2015, Peter Gauthier is most deserving of the MVP

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Jay was a force at the plate. He made the leader board in 9 different offensive categories. Hitting cleanup he paced the Sharks to our best finish ever. What doesn't show up in the stats is the dynamite defense he provides in the outfield.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG The Dukes Best Hitter is without a doubt, Stephane Leclair. On a team that uses the official scoresheet as a weapon for petty revenge and spite against their own teammates, Steph still led the team in hits, runs scored, runs batted in, extra-base hits, walks, on way to a most honest 426 batting average. Tier 3 voters - ask your pitchers which batter they didn’t want to face in 2015…the answer? Stephane Leclair.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Once again, Scott Kiser carried the load for us at the plate in 2015. He lead the team in hits and was at the top of our list on all rate stats for qualified batters - AVG, OBP and SLG. He was thrust into a different role higher up in the lineup, so he scored more runs than he knocked in. Overall, his performance at the plate lead our offense for the year.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG He hit. He hit for power. He was clutch. And he even legged out a couple triples. Peter Gauthier had a monster year at the plate. He won the won the tier 3 batting, slugging and OPS crowns. He led the league in hits and was all over the leader board in almost every category.

IP SO W-L-S ERA WHIP The Dukes Best Pitcher for 2015 is Colin Kargus. Colin led the Dukes pitchers in ERA, strikeouts and WHIP. On a Dukes team where most players can spit farther than their fielding range, Colin allowed only 12 earned runs in just less than 40 innings of work this season.

IP SO W-L-S ERA WHIP As alluded to in the MVP write up, Tyas was the ace our team needed this year. He threw an impressive 56 innings, with a respectable 1.50 WHIP and a strong 2.50 ERA. We had two key starters go down with injuries at various points in the season, and without Tyas' consistency on the mound, the season could have fallen off the rails in a hurry.

IP SO W-L-S ERA WHIP Jesse was our ace again this year. He is the Mark Beuhrle of the Sharks. He eats a lot of innings while still pitching at a high level. Every time out we know we can count on 6-7 strong innings from Jesse giving us a chance to win games and rest the bullpen. He is exactly what every team needs on the mound.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG The Dukes nominee for the Mike Robillard Sportsmanship and Ability Award is Dukes rookie, and NCBL veteran, Trevor Williams. T-Bills is a true ball player who plays the game hard and competitive – he’s always hustling, grinding out at-bats and playing solid defence. Trevor is also a great teammate - seeing extra pitches in the lead-off spot, coaching bases and communicating in the field. On top of all he’s also a true Duke – staying late for pints when he lives in Brockville (or wherever it is he lives) and running through the background of videos in his underwear despite his better judgment (https://youtu.be/BWq3_UHuvzA).

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Though he fell just two shy of the required plate appearances to have his name included on the leader board, largely due to a wrist injury, Andrew Rosil was a huge part of our team this year. Not only was he stellar at the plate - 1.026 OPS for the year - but he was very solid both in the field, playing primarily C and 3B defensively. On top of his quantifiable contributions, Ros was and is a constantly positive player for us. Didn't matter the game situation, he was always trying to keep the team positive and keep our heads in it. When you consider that he battled through that wrist injury for half the year, the positivity and offensive output are even that much more impressive. He's one of the nicest guys and most respectful players I've encountered in the NCBL. As a manager, I know I can always count on him to give his all to play the game right.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Scott is talented and classy to his core. His ability is remarkable, he's got a powerful bat, he's a slick-handed shortstop and he's a crafty pitcher. He's won 5 out of our 7 MVP awards and will likely win many more. What really sets him apart is his cool, quiet and level-headed approach to the game. Motivational without being negative and competitive without being aggressive. Nobody in the world has a bad thing to say about him -- opponents and umpires included.

PA RBI AVG ONB SLUG Fabien is a managers dream. A dynamite bat, dynamite glove and dynamite person. He led the league in RBI and K/PA while making the leader board 8 times. He played injured, came home early from vacations to make games, and never once complained about opponent or umpires. He is as calm and collected on the field as he is good. And as strong defensively as he is offensively. Without exaggeration, he is one of the best offensive and defensive players in the league as well as one of the nicest.
