Joe was voted as the MVP this
year and the evidence is pretty clear why his teammates voted for him. Joe
was very personable around the diamond, many teams know him from his years in
the league. Joe did almost everything this year, he was a very strong while
up to bat, pitched in several games, and played infield and outfield, only
thing Joe didn’t do was catch this year. Joe is a great team player that many
teams would love to have join their team.

Chris’ breakout year of being
injury-free was a boon to the Braumeisters. His versatility and reliability
playing short, second, third, outfield and catcher was sorely needed on the
aging Brau squad. His offensive contributions were second only to our best
better; Avg .394; .ONB% .623; OPS 1.017.

Our CF for years, catching
anything sent out to CF, had another solid year in the OF, not only catching
but gunning guys out at the plate. He's as quiet as they come, but he made a
lot of noise with his bat to go with the defence skills. The offensive numbers
were spread out across the board, with RBI's, runs scored, walks, SB's, and
AVG. This year we nominate Stef L. as our MVP.

Cory was the iron man of the
league having played in all 20 games and leading the league in plate
appearances (78); what makes this impressive is the fact that Cory was our
number 1 catcher. Furthermore, of those 78 plate appearances he only struck
out once all year. You will find his name all over the offensive leader
board, second in hits (28); tied for second in home runs (1) and at bats
(58). he was fourth in batting average (.483); runs (21) and walks (13). He
was also top ten in slugging (.586). Not only were his offensive stats
impressive but his ability to catch our pitchers and throw out runners was
instrumental in us having a successful season.

Joe was the batter you wanted up
with the game on the line. Joe had a strong bat all year long; great average,
strong on base percentage and scored runners ahead of him if they were in
scoring position. The stats speak for themselves, and any team would be lucky
to have a player like Joe on their team.

Ron has won this award in the
past. 2017 proved to be another dominant year for him at the plate. His total
numbers are excellent, but where he really stands out, is in the SLG.
department. He was also intentionally walked multiple times this year, once again
showing his pedigree as a hitter.

Brett stats don’t speak justice
on how good of a pitcher he is, many teams did not like to see him take the
mound. He throws hard and have a great curve ball that many batters struggled
with. Brett is a force on the mound and I am very glad he is playing on our
team and not against him. Any team would love to have Brett in their starting
rotation.

Mike returned to the Los V's
full-time in 2017 and he was again the best arm for us. Mike is a true

hitters. Got stronger as the season went on, Los V's are pleased to nominate
Mike once again for this award.

Shanon is dependable and a real
team player. He is very supportive of his teammates and always ready to help
out in any capacity. Although Shanon doesn't play as often as he did as a
young man, at 45 years old he still likes to be involved with the team, and
the sport he loves. Several teams said wanted a player like him; always
positive, hard-working, dedicated to his team and the game. We feel that
Shanon would be a very worthy recipient of this award.

Capably managing the team on the
field when Gary was not there caused Mike to endure many pains beyond his
knees. He pitched 31+ innings, batted over .300, led the team in RBIs and
hits and played solid infield. Never a complaint (at least heard out loud).

Jack was a rookie to the NCBL
this year, but you'd never know it the way he played. He got his first NCBL
win on the mound, and was always at the top of the order when hitting,
leading the team in runs. Jack always showed up ready to play, and play wherever
needed, always putting the team first. With his positive attitude and
baseball skills, we nominate Jack for Sportsmanship and Ability

Great 1st basemen, the best.
Landy made a great difference this year by his great ability and also by
giving all players feedback and bringing them up when we lost games.

Mike was a real team player,
willing to play almost any position (didn't want to catch) and did whatever
he could to help the team. It was his first year in the NCBL and performed
really well. He also brought beers to a few games!

Longtime manager of the Knights
is a respected senior player in the league, having played in it for almost 30
years. Doesn't catch as much as he used to but he can still make contact
against any young gun, as evidenced by his ,333 average this season Would be
a deserved recipient of the award named after his former teammate Peter
Johns.

Nahum is the most positive
person on our team, supportive of his teammates and opponents and willing to
help out in any way possible. He is best known for his sense of humour and
his attitude if infectious on all who meet him. This was his first year as a
regular on the team and he hit a respectable 273 with 11 walks and his
defense at 3B as superb.

Dave is one of the good ones out
there, always smiling and lending a hand. Guy can flat out play some ball,
whether in the outfield or left side of the infield and he can fly down the
line like no other. A worthy candidate for the Papa Jo Award
