MVP

Acadians - Philippe Costa

Athletics - Gareth Baker
.333 avg, 15 runs, 16 hits, 5 rbi
With Gareth in the lineup every game, the team got off to a 9-5-1 record (good for 3rd place at the time). When he came back from vacation, he found the team in 6th place in the standings. Besides batting .333 with a .439 OBP, Gareth provided great defense from the shortstop position.

Diamondbacks - Martin Trepanier
Martin Trepanier.  Martin was a huge addition to the Diamondbacks this off season and had a dominant year.  Martin quickly picked up the second spot in our pitching rotation and went 5-0 with a save, striking out 48 and posting a league leading 0.67 ERA.  He tied for second in wins in the league and was 3rd in strikeouts and WHIP.  At the plate, Martin swung a big bat hitting clean up for the Dbacks.  He batted .309 and led the team in hits, RBI's and home runs.

Mudd - Greg Elliott
4-0, 2 CG, 0.90 ERA, 0.83 WHIP;   22 RBI .343 AVG

Old Sox - Jamie Beaupre

Sweat Sox - Dave Fenn
team's best and most consistent hitter all year long hitting 391 and a team leading 25 hits out of the leadoff spot. Also pitched several ball games including a complete game shutout on the season's final day to clinch 3rd place for the Sox. Led the team in appearances, innings pitched and strikeouts.

Tribu - Martin Emard

Best Batter

Acadians - Syvlain McLeod

Ahletics - Mike Jones
.305 avg., .456OBP, 17 runs, 17 hits, 16 rbi
Mike was second on the team in plate appearances (80) and hits (18) but was tied for the team lead in RBI (16). While his average was .305 and he had an OBP of .456, Mike hit the ball hard all season but was victimized by being unable to "hit it where they ain't". Despite batting third for our team, Mike also holds the distinction of not striking out during the regular season.

Diamondbacks -Justin Cardinal.
Justin led the team in batting average at .340 in the regular season and stepped it up when it mattered, notching a BA of .389 in the playoffs.  Justin cashed in clutch runs down the stretch and through the playoffs after securing the two spot mid-season.  He led the team in hits in both the regular season and playoffs.

Mudd - Greg Elliott
20 Runs, 23 Hits, 1 HR, 22 RBI, .343 AVG, .413 ONB

Old Sox - Eric Robichaud

Sweat Sox - Dave Fenn
team's best and most consistent hitter all year long hitting 391 and a team leading 25 hits.

Tribu - Marc Hughes

Best Pitcher

Acadians - René Audet

Athletics - Justin Crepin
26.33 IP, 17 hits, 10ER, 34 K, 2.66 ERA 3-1 record
Justin was the staff ace and was a rock for our team. When Justin wasn't throwing gas, he was showing up to playoff games with black baseball pants only to have other teammates bail him out.

Diamondbacks - Martin Trepanier
Martin Trepanier.  Martin added a fearsome element to the Dbacks starting rotation in his first year with the team.  A fixture on the Dragons mound for years, Martin benefitted from a lesser workload and threw quality innings when called upon to make the most of his appearances.  In a balanced rotation with Brian Merkel, Dave Steffler and rookie Kevin Lamarche, Martin led the team in wins going 5-0 and contributed a save.  Trepanier posted a stingy WHIP of 0.86 and led the league with a miniscule 0.67 ERA while striking out 48 and walking only 4 in 31.3 innings of work.  Of his 5 wins, 3 were complete games, 2 were shutouts.

Mudd - Jason Gordon
39 IP, 58 K's,  0.71 ERA, 0.76 WHIP- 5-1 with 2 saves.

Old Sox - Jamie Beaupre

Sweat Sox - Cory Bond
led the team with 7 of the teams 13 wins with an era of 1.19 and a WHIP of 1.09 over 47 innings. Also picked up a pair of playoff wins for the Sox including a series clinching shutout.

Tribu - Daniel Fish

Best Rookie

Acadians - Richard Léger

Athletics - Wade Wilson
Wade is the best rookie because he caught every game this season for us and he was our cleanup hitter. Wade led the team in hits (20), HR (2) and slugging (.465) while tying for the team lead in RBI (16).

Diamondbacks - Kevin Lamarche
In his first year in the NCBL, 19 year old Kevin Lamarche came to the Dbacks from the Canadians.  Kevin quickly found his niche on the mound filling in admirably when a spot in the rotation opened up due to a Dave Steffler mid-season injury.  Kevin went on to a 5-0 record as a starter and converted all 3 save opportunities.  Kevin posted a respectable 1.73 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 10 appearances and 36.3 IP.  Also noteworthy, Kevin led the Dbacks pitching staff in opponents broken bats.

Mudd - no nominee

Old Sox - Jeremy Pluym

Sweat Sox - Mark Bond
strikeout per inning ratio (11.29K/7IP) before injuries forced his season to end early.

Tribu - Alex Villeneuve

Sportsmanship/Ability

Acadians - Rémi Ouellet

Athletics - Graeme Nichols

Diamondbacks - Ryan Chow
Ryan won the Dbacks team award for Sportsmanship for the second year in a row.  Ryan is a lunch box kid who shows up each and every game with a positive attitude and whether he is in the game or not always displays character and enthusiasm for the game and respect for his teammates.  He is the first to pick up coaching duties at first base or do whatever is needed around the dugout.  Ryan is very receptive to coaching and studies the game - he is the kind of player who is a pleasure to coach.

Mudd - Leigh Lacroix

Old Sox - Mark Bustard

Sweat Sox - Bill Freeman
The ultimate leader and baseball player on the Sweat Sox. Hard-nosed, reliable and respectful of how the game should be played. Great defensive outfielder, baserunner and cleanup hitter during his second outstanding season with the team providing protection in the lineup for the reigning tier MVP.

Tribu - Fred Charbonneau
