The Braves came into this game having just lost their first of the season the night before, with Ryan Hobbins pitching at half strength, it was evident early that this would be the Brewers night, especially Mark Keenan. After stranding Jonas Malcolm at third in the top of the first versus pitcher Mark Keenan, the Brewers came up and loaded the bases with two out, Hobbins then hit Keith Blouin forcing in the first run of the game. Hobbins did settle down for the second inning, and it went to the top of the third still at 1-0, the Braves then scored Malcolm from third on a Brewer error with two outs. The Brewers answered though in the bottom of the third, after a one out double by Mark Keenan, a Brave error, a wild pitch and an RBI single by Hank Beelen, the score stood at 4-1 for the Brewers.

After that, Mark Keenan cruised on scattering just 3 more hits, and getting two double plays. The Brewers scored one unearned run in the 4th with an RBI double by Keenan, his second of three doubles. Then the Brewers put the game away with a 2 out, 2 RBI single by Matt Beelen in the 5th, off of Beaupre.
